Re: Screen Capture Software

For some reason I never through of what Ash suggested... so got one now. Unfortunately I'm having trouble with my old hard drive which I was going to use to store this stuff on cos I don't want it on my smaller solid states so I haven't given it a go yet. Also randomly downloaded AVS Video Editor, s...

Screen Capture Software

I fancy giving a go to recording, editing, and posting some game footage to Youtube. My first thought was Fraps, but the free version is shocking in that you can record like 2 seconds... Does anyone do this, or just have some general ideas on some free software that's good for capturing games? I've ...

Re: i46 [The Popular One]

I'm going to offer to try and organise seating again, though it's going to be even more difficult this year - somehow I have to try to arrange for four different groups to sit somewhere near each other. :P I picked up the empty space next to Ben, and set you as my seat manager. But if I'm not sat n...

Re: Portal 2

Downloaded a bunch of maps last night and played them for about an hour. While obviously content someone else has made won't have the great story, it's great I clicked 1 button and got another hour out of the game, and there are a lot of buttons :p . Think I'll try and make some maps :p

Re: SWTOR - Basilisk Droid EU PVP Server

My level 50 is in an organised raiding guild. Although I haven't actually done any level 50 stuff... Got a level 32 Trooper, a level 26 Smuggler, a level 21 Consular, even a level 10 Imperial Agent (plus a level 26/27 Consular I don't play). I do like the Legacy system in some ways, having +100 Pres...

Re: Diablo 3

The thing with diablo that I never really got is, it didn't seem hard and went on for ages, and the only reward was uber cut-scene videos. Best thing I liked about Diablo 2 was doing different builds, and the loads of options you had. At the end of the day though, it's a pretty grindy game, and I'd...

Re: New Laptop Thread

The only offer I can see currently is for free delivery on all laptops - valid until 2nd March. If you can hang off until then I'd say it's likely they'll follow it up with a 10/20% discount as well. If you're lucky the two will overlap for a little while - that's when to strike! As previously ment...

Re: Steam Coupons

I thought the Christmas promotion stuff was a bit disappointing after the Summer one. Random is never better than having the choice yourself, although the people who got free £40 games probably don't agree :) I got a free game, one of the Hitman games (blood money) which was nice. I'd already decide...

Re: i46 [The Popular One]

Yeah, camping is quite a way from the site, but they were talking about putting on transport to ferry people to and from the campsite. Will let you know if I hear more. Damn... it didn't look far enough for transport... but I mean, the idea that there will be a bus or something I can get at 5am see...

Re: New Laptop Thread

If you can find an i5 be wary of paying more for a discrete card... For example there's an Inspiron 14 [N4050] with an i5-2410M cpu on at the mo for £338 delivered. The discrete card added to it (an ATi 6470M) performs no better at all than using the onboard VGA - money wasted! Trouble is, I have n...

New Laptop Thread

If my 4+ year old netbook has taught me anything, it's that 10 or 11 inches isn't enough for me (you can quote that if you like), and that 1 gig of ram, and a processor around the 1 gig mark won't accomplish much. I've got some great use out of it, when I moved in with my ex I also had to move from ...

Ticket bought. Although I'm hoping Ian nudges me when the seat picker is up, cos I'll forget all about it.
